More New Stuff

The kid says Papa. Not exactly to me but damn straight she knows who Papa is.

She can ride a scooter. I wouldn't believe it myself had I not seen it. Only 16 months old - going on ten years.

She loves to dance. Watch out if you say "Happy Feet". She'll go off like Gregory Hines.

She loves to brush her teeth.

Polar Bears

I wonder what all the millions of people driving around in their SUVs while their children watch arctic tale or the polar express in the back seat think of this.

new stuff

the kid says moo when asked
what does a cow say?
A+ there
the funny, and best, part is when
you ask her what a duck says ...
she responds with a ccckkkrrrkk
as if she is trying to cough up a hairball

she motions with a threatening claw and a roar
when asked about lions
of course, tigers and bears kind of sound the same too

she is running around like a full grown 2 year old
climbing, or at least attempting to climb (everything)
is the new thing

she also has a new laugh.
deep and gutteral - bawdy.

she had steak the other night and loved it.
been eating like a champ lately.

i lied. the best part about any of this
is that she just starting saying papa.
(i'm papa and calvin is daddy).
my heart melts every time.

just got her a new toothbrush.
now that she has so many teeth, almost a whole mouthful
and eating steak and all
hers is a small electric one, just like ours
hers is actually miniature and runs on one AA battery, it is perfect really
my favorite morning ritual now is to brush teeth together - she loves it too

she is changing and growing so fast

she says choo-choo for all things that move
car, bus, subway
close enough, i say
