Goldfrapp

I'm lucky enough to have a dear friend who got 2 tickets to the recent Goldfrapp concert at Roseland. Lucky, that is, to be her date for the night. What, me take a night off from being Papa? Oh yes. It was rad. Yes, RAD.

The performance was electric - very Blondie/Missing Persons/with a little Bette Midler from The Rose thrown in (okay, only her hair). I personally fell in love with the back-up dancers who were, at one point, wearing giant mirrored horse heads and silver unitards. Not that I'm going to get all Equus on you, it was just the perfect mixture of beauty and absurd theatre.

I saw Rufus Wainwright at the bar, at one point, and foolishly went up to him and chatted for a bit. He was nice, cordial really. But guarded. Who can blame him? I'm sure he just wanted to enjoy his buzz like everyone else.

Baby Update: Our little girl has her 2nd tooth and is now starting to sit up. And she's going to be a flower for Halloween.
